Challenge
Amrize Manitoulin needed to replace an existing tertiary crusher with a new Metso NP20 Horizontal Shaft Impactor, fed by a belt feeder from a 100-ton bin and discharging onto an underlying conveyor. Beyond matching the existing feed and discharge points, the new structure had to accommodate multiple access points, tie into the existing civil pad, and support the larger footprint required for the crusher’s dual motor drive.
Results
KREATOR Equipment designed, fabricated, and installed the new custom steel crusher stand within a three-month period — ahead of schedule. The finished structure met all existing site constraints while accommodating the larger footprint and dual motor drive of the new NP20 Impactor, allowing Amrize Manitoulin to bring the upgraded crusher online without disruption to surrounding equipment.
